I have two lovely daughters that are 25 and 23 years old. Before they moved out on their own, they never lived in a finished house. I buy a house, fix it up, then sell it. I just recently moved to Albert Lea Mn and found a house on Fountain Lake, and I love it here. I am hoping this is my last fixer upper. I am going to take you along with me while I work on this house. I am always working on a project.
The first thing I needed was an office, so I went to work. It was a lovely shade of Pepto Bismol pink!! I did a bunch of patching and painted it a very light green. I love color.
I built my own desk so I could get the size I wanted. I bought a butcher block top from Home Depot and sturdy metal legs on Amazon. All I did was cut the top to the size I wanted, finished the top and added the legs.
After my first Zoom appointment I realized you needed something look at besides me!!
I added an accent wall with some peel and stick wallpaper. For the record, I will never use peel and stick wallpaper again. This is the second time I have installed it and its way more difficult to install then pre-pasted and comes off way too easy. My oldest daughter put some in her home and it fell off in about a year. I have heard this often.
The finished product!! I love sitting at my desk, looking out at the lake, and thinking about my next design! Mary Pat
